How A Growth Mindset Relieves Emotional Pain

If you were to guess, how much of the pain and problems you experience in day-to-day life are caused by yourself?

Take a wild guess…

20 percent?     50?      100?

If I were to estimate, I’d say that 80% or more of our problems, pain, and strife arise from one of two things:

  • Inner Thoughts
  • Inner Emotions

Not anybody else’s thoughts or emotions – just our own. So in other words, we are the primary source of our suffering.

It’s not the feelings themselves that are problematic, but the stories and beliefs we attach to those feelings that can create recurring loops of emotional pain. Broken record anyone?
